A Navy Vessel, HMS Sutherland, sailed into Scilly on Friday. The impressive grey craft carries about 160 Navy crew who will take the short stop as a time to re cuperate and relax ashore. Amongst other activities they will play cricket against one of the Island sides.
The Ship sailed in on Friday afternoon and attracted much attention from tripper boats out to follow the gig race.
H.M.S. Sutherland sailed out of Scilly and back to her home port, Plymouth at 1:30 on Sunday.
