St Mary’s Fire Brigade’s two engines, the St Mary’s Airport tender and the ambulance were called out this evening to tend to an incident near the Mermaid pub.

After having been drinking (not in the pub we should point out) one 13-year-old mainlander fell off the back of St Mary’s quay, below Tregarthen’s Hotel.

It is assumed the fire brigade were called out to rescue the girl. Whilst the ambulance took her up to the hospital.

The girl is believed to have sustained no serious injuries.
