Robert, Tanya and Tom, locals in years 11, 12 and 13 respectively, competed in the Polo Kayaking in the Esbjerg Maritime Olympics alongside Malte, a German friend from Omata II, Australia, and Abbey, a youth worker from Cornwall, as a part of the Tall Ships Race 2001 celelbrations.

They did extremely well, coming second overall, loosing to the UK Marines in the final!

Sailing with the Golden Vanity during the Bergen to Esbjerg leg of the Tall Ships race, the mainly Scillonian team was well supported by the Danish crowd watching from the harbourside.
