British International will be carrying it’s 3 millionth passenger sometime today, marking an important milestone in the history of the local helicopters.
Mrs Legett, a regular visitor to the Islands, was the 3 millionth passenger, receiving free tickets, flowers and a framed photo of the aircraft.
Since 1963, British International have been providing the unique helicopter service to the Islands. There are no other commercial helicopter services in Europe!
BBC Ceefax Southwest reported that British International will be investing in new helicopters in two years time.
