Tristan and Aisling Hick of St. Agnes were recently married in a ceremony at the St. Francis of Assisi church near Shepherds Bush, London.
Friends and family from the Islands and the mainland turned up to enjoy the occasion and wish Aisling and Tristan every happiness in their marriage. The couple were married in a beautiful ceremony which included professional singers. Many Islanders made the trip up to London in a ‘mass emigration’ in order to witness the event.
Guests were later treated to a reception at the ‘Whiz Bar’ one of Anthony Worral Thompson’s venues, where the music, drink and food continued to arrive, in excess, well into the night. The couple left for their Honeymoon destination, in the Caribbean, on the following Monday. After, of course, they had enjoyed watching the England Rugby Union victory over Australia with their friends!
A second wedding reception was held on St. Agnes on December 30th, for those who were unable to make the London trip. The couple are currently living in London, where Aisling was originally based, but they make regular trips down to the Islands when work permits it.
