Trinity House will make an alteration to Round Island’s illumination. From March, the light will not be on during the daytime at times of good visibility.
Trinity House announcement:
Date : On or about 1 st March, 2003. Amendment: Navigation light to be exhibited during night time and in periods of reduced visibility only; characteristics to remain unaltered, but nominal range reduced to 18 miles.
