Scilly will be taking one step forward in foot care this week as a new chiropody surgery opens on St Mary’s.
Kris Taylor, from Bryher, has been a mobile chiropodist for two years going from island to island nursing peoples sore feet.
But she hopes that the surgery, in Hugh Town, will be easier for people on the off islands.
“I can’t always get to other islands in the winter so it is difficult for people from, say St Agnes or St Martins, to get their feet looked at. Hopefully this will make things easier.”
But Kristine will still be making home visits as the surgery will only be open three days a week.
