A St Mary’s powerlifter has broken a world record at the Yorkshire and North East County Division Championships.
Marian Gibson from Belmont on St Mary’s broke a world record for squats and also broke a British record.
Last year Marian, who is originally from Bryher, broke 19 British records.
She broke two records at the South West All Counties Championships in February.
