Lifeboatmen To Go To London

On Thursday 20 May, three local lifeboatmen will be travelling to London to receive their medals for bravery.

According to the RNLI web site: “Lifeboat Coxswain Andy Howells (41) and Crew Members Philip Roberts (37) and Mark Bromham (25) are to be awarded the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s Bronze Medal for Gallantry for saving the life of a severely injured yachtsman on 29 October 2003 in fading light with 50 mile an hour winds and 10 metre high seas.”
