Local coastguards and harbour staff were called out twice on Tuesday night to rescue yachts in trouble.
The first went ashore below Harry’s Walls on St Mary’s at around 2am. Staff had just returned to bed when a Danish yaucht in trouble had to be brought in alongside the quay on St Mary’s at around 3.30am.
