A new kind of display has been put up in Bryher Church. A handmade quilt depicting images associated with the islands is now hanging in the building.
The piece of art was donated by Penny Gay from St Just in Cornwall. She has visited Bryher on numerous occasions.
The quilt is made up of pictures including the Firethorn, the local stores and the Cyclone but also shows well loved island views like Round Island Lighthouse.
PCC Member for Bryher Kristine Taylor told Scilly News: We would like to thank Penny for such a beautiful work of art. It enhances the beauty of the church and has already been admired by many visitors to All Saints.”
The quilt is on show permenantly.
