Hundreds brave rain for Tresco fete

Hundreds of islanders and visitors ignored the wind and rain to support the Tresco Summer fete.

Some stalls had to be cancelled and the event moved indoors but organiser Anne Oyler told Scilly News that she was pleased that so many had still chosen to come to the event.

The barbecue went ahead outside with the coconut shy, games and plant stall. Bands from the Five Island School entertained fete goers. One visitor described Bryher and Tresco band Noxious as “brilliant.”
