Heavy rain and strong winds are predicted to hit Scilly over the weekend according to the Met Office. On Sunday, the low-pressure system should peak bringing some rain and winds that may reach force 6.
This is bad news for Tresco fete, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday afternoon. Meteorologists predict that Monday will bring worse weather with thunder and lightening storms.
Around 40mm (1.5 inches) of rain is expected in parts of the country in the next few days.
The weather is predicted to remain unsettled all this week before drying up at the weekend.
