Lies and Subterfuge at the Atlantic Inn

Islanders are encouraged to tell brazen lies this week ? all in the name of entertainment.

A new pub game Call My Blagg is being debuted at the Atlantic Inn on St Mary’s on Wednesday March 15. A variation on long-running TV quiz show Call My Bluff, it is hoped it will become a regular mid-week feature.

‘The idea is that you’ll have 15 different questions with one true and three false answers which the teams have to guess,? Host Pete ‘The Hat? Hobson told ScillyNews.

‘It should actually be quite entertaining because it’s built around local things and words you can’t find in a standard dictionary.?

Pete, proprietor of the Isles of Scilly Perfumery, added: ‘Some of the questions will be set by Bill Ellis from the Star Castle, who has a kudos far higher than myself. Some are really interesting with a good twist, so they wont be like bog-standard quiz questions. It should be good fun.?

The event is at 8pm on Wednesday nights. All welcome.
