Islands top broadband survey

Scilly has the highest take-up rate of broadband in England.

A study by BT found that almost half of homes and businesses have ASDL access and changed to broadband quicker than any other part of the country.

Cornwall was placed second on the list, with Oxfordshire finishing third. A BT spokesman said: “Who would have thought when ADSL broadband was introduced that relatively remote and rural areas such as Cornwall, Somerset and even the Isles of Scilly would have featured among the leaders’”
